Information & Advice (Open Access Service)
What is the Duty Service?
Sometimes you might want to contact BADAS for information or advice without having to make an appointment.
An identified BADAS worker is ‘on duty’ during office hours to give information and advice, either in person or over the phone.
What can the Duty Worker provide?
The Duty Worker is able to offer information and advice over the phone or in person. S/he can give information about other BADAS services and how to access them, drugs information or just be someone to talk to.
If a person wants to access other BADAS services it is possible for the Duty Worker to do a short assessment.
The Duty Service also has links with other agencies, such as housing and training etc, and is able to refer people to these services, if necessary.
The Duty Worker can also offer appointments with other workers, if necessary.
A range of leaflets are also available.
The Duty Service is free and confidential.
How do I contact the Duty Worker?
The Duty Worker can be contacted on the main office number (01226 779066) or by calling into the main office at 9-10 Burleigh Court, Barnsley.
